Frequently Asked Questions
General & Destination
Karahayıt is a separate village about 5 km north of Pamukkale. It draws on the same aquifer but its water runs red from iron oxide. You can visit both in one day.
No. You enter the terraces barefoot only — both a conservation rule and because the surface is slippery. You carry your shoes.
Half a day covers just the travertines and Cleopatra's Pool; plan a full day to also see Hierapolis, the necropolis and the ancient theatre.
Hierapolis is the Roman-Byzantine ancient city built directly above the travertines, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List; it is known for its vast theatre, extensive necropolis and thermal baths. It is part of the same archaeological site as the travertines.
Spring and autumn are the most balanced seasons. Summer gets hot — starting the day early spares you both the heat and the crowds; sunset is the travertines' most photographed moment.
Entry to the archaeological site requires a separate ticket, and swimming in Cleopatra's Antique Pool costs extra. Activity and tour bookings made through the platform are separate from these entrance fees.
Booking & Payment
Your payment is secured at booking but does not reach the business right away. When you receive the service the business scans your QR code; only then is the money released. So no one is paid before you get what you booked.
After booking you receive a single-use QR code. At the point of service the business scans it; the scan proves the service was delivered and releases the secured payment. Each QR code can be used only once.
Yes. Your payment is held in a protected pool until you receive the service. If the service does not take place, it is refunded; if it does, it is transferred to the business when the QR code is scanned. Your card details are never stored on the platform.
Yes, you can book and pay as a guest. Only your contact details — and, where required, identity information — are collected securely; creating an account is not mandatory.
Cancellation & Refunds
Yes, you can cancel before the scheduled service time. The refund amount is determined by how much time elapses between the cancellation and the service time; early cancellations receive a full refund, late cancellations a partial refund.
The refund is tiered based on how much time remains before the service: a full refund if you cancel early enough, a partial refund (for example half or a quarter) as the time approaches, and no refund for very late cancellations or no-shows. The exact rate is shown on the cancellation screen.
If weather conditions prevent the service (for example a balloon tour or an outdoor activity), the affected bookings are cancelled automatically and your payment is refunded in full. You will receive a notification; in some cases an alternative activity is offered instead.
Transport & Accommodation
Transfer, taxi and VIP transport options from Denizli Çardak Airport to Pamukkale are available and can be booked in advance through the platform. Payment is again released by QR scan once the service is received.
Drivers on the platform are licensed, and no cash or card is taken inside the vehicle. Payment is secured up front and is released when the driver scans the QR code at the end of the trip.
Karahayıt is a spa and accommodation hub with thermal hotels; it makes a convenient base for touring Pamukkale and Hierapolis by day and unwinding with a thermal soak at night.
